What this means for your price

Because the buyer protection fee is added on top, a buyer comparing your £20 item with the same item on a marketplace that charges the seller sees £21.70 on Vinted. Price with that in mind, but your payout is the full item price.

No. Vinted says sellers pay no selling fees: you receive your item price. The buyer pays a buyer protection fee on top, plus postage.

How much is Vinted's buyer protection fee?

Vinted's How it works page gives 5% of the item price plus £0.70 in the UK (in Germany 5% plus €0.70). Vinted's help page adds that the fee usually ranges from 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80 depending on the item and order, so check the amount shown at checkout.
